GAP Program

The AlternIMG_4443ative Living Group, Inc. currently provides GAP services to individuals residing in the Capital Region. GAP is a Medicaid funded program offered through New York State’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Home and Community Based Services Waiver. The service is provided to OPWDD eligible individuals that are of school age and currently reside at home.

The Community Services Department provides GAP services during school vacations and follows the Schenectady City School District calendar. The students have the opportunity to enjoy various field activities, arts and crafts, swimming, and are able to attend several field trips.   Transportation to and from the program is provided to our students who reside within the Schenectady City School District.
